Del Webb Orlando is a beautiful 55+ community in Davenport, FL.

Homebuyers 55 and better looking in the Orlando-Kissimmee Area have a truly impressive and abundant set of options when choosing an active adult community to call home. The area has long been a top destination for retirees from around the country and continues to see the opening of luxurious and innovative new communities. Del Webb Orlando is most certainly on just about anyone’s list of the finest communities in this highly sought-after area.

Del Webb, a homebuilder long known as a major player in 55+ real estate, began construction on this community in 2007 and plans to host 830 single-family homes once complete. There are three series of homes available: Garden, Generation One, and Classic with a total of 23 distinct floor plans.

The eight floor plans in the Garden Series range from a modest 978 square feet to a spacious 1,598 square feet, offering anywhere between one to three bedrooms, one-and-a-half to three bathrooms, and attached one- to two-car garages. A variety of configurations are available with some units having flex spaces that can be used as an extra bedroom or hobby space. All models have covered patios or lanais, perfect for soaking up the Florida sun.

Generation One Series homes are available in seven floor plans with anywhere between 1,515 to 2,251 square feet of space with two or three bedrooms, two or three baths, and attached two-car garages. Dens on some models offer flexible space that, for example, can be used as an extra bedroom or home office, while covered and screened patios allow homeowners to enjoy the outdoors in comfort.

The Classic Series is made up of eight floor plans. All models feature first-floor master suites while some have an optional second-floor loft for additional living and storage space. Homes in this series are between 1,600 and 2,159 square feet with anywhere from two to four bedrooms, two to four bathrooms, and attached two and two-and-a-half-car garages.

Surrounded by a beautiful scenic lake, the 30,800 square-foot Montecito Clubhouse is the crown jewel of this community. The amenities offered are more in line with a resort than with a neighborhood. For those looking to stay in shape, there’s a state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor pool, indoor walking track, and aerobics studio. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the abundant Florida sunshine with courts for tennis, pickleball, bocce ball, and horseshoes, in addition to a pavilion and amphitheater.

For a more relaxed day, the clubhouse offers plenty of amenities to enjoy life without breaking a sweat. There’s an arts and craft studio for creative types in addition to game rooms, a library, card rooms, and the Cyber Cafe coffee bar. A ballroom is used for holiday parties and other social gatherings, drawing in residents from throughout the community.

Homeowners in Del Webb Orlando also enjoy a rich social and fitness-oriented life, with clubs ranging from Mah Jongg to yoga. Some unique events at Del Webb Orlando include the beer and bocce bash, Wii bowling, Wiffle ball, and margarita madness. Whether it’s ping pong, circuit training, or celebrating Oktoberfest, there’s something for everyone at this 55+ community.

The surrounding area offers abundant attractions and conveniences as well. Golfers don’t have to go far to hit the links either. Ridgewood Lakes Golf Club is less than a three-minute drive from the neighborhood. This par-72 golf course was designed by Ted McAnlis, which is sculpted on rolling ranch land and features water or wetlands on each hole.

Del Webb Orlando is ideally situated near Interstate 4 and Route 27, which makes it easy to hit the open road. Better still, there is onsite RV parking available to residents, eliminating the need for expensive offsite storage. For quick errands, there’s a Publix, Walgreens, and CVS just outside of the community with more extensive shopping options like Walmart, Lowe’s, and several restaurants just four miles to the south along Route 27.

The Orlando-Kissimmee Area is, of course, known for its theme parks like Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld. The tourism industry put Orlando on the map and still remains a dominant feature in the area, though full-time residents enjoy a lively theater scene, excellent restaurants, and the annual Florida Film Festival, along with countless other attractions and events. Active adults on the hunt for a standout 55+ community in the Orlando-Kissimmee Area are sure to be wowed by everything that Del Webb Orlando has to offer.
