Julie has lived most of her life in Northern Nevada. She left Nevada for a few years to study at the University of California, Irvine and graduated with a B.S. in Biological Sciences in 1992. After working in the scientific industry as a marketing professional for several years in the Bay Area, she returned to Northern Nevada, the area she loves.
